Protect our Waters

Big Sugar is still pushing a 40-year industrial rock mine in the Everglades Agricultural Area, threatening the nearby $4 billion Everglades Reservoir we’ve fought hard to protect. It’s disguised as a water project, but make no mistake: it’s about blasting rock, not restoring water flow.

It's been greased through the system every step of the way and it puts everything we’ve worked for at risk. Florida’s future shouldn’t be carved up for corporate gain—and it certainly shouldn’t be decided behind closed doors.

Governor DeSantis has been a champion for clean water, but so far, he hasn’t spoken out about this project. Now is the time for him to protect his Everglades legacy and stop this rock mine.
