JULY An update on our American Red Snapper fishing trip. Weather and events kept us ashore Wednesday, the better forecast fishing day. We fished yesterday, 7-6-19. The bite was slow and we had to work for them. Landed 4 nice Red Snapper, some Porgies and a keeper 30 inch Scamp Grouper, a first for us. All the American Red Snapper were caught on our first stop in about 150 Ft. We had netted Pilchards the day before, unfortunately the bait barrel hung up on a piling and they escaped. Caught everything on frozen Pilchards and squid.
