Peter and Ed, I understand the club is looking for pictures, my son Brian and I had a good day offshore yesterday about 12  miles catching five keeper red grouper by noon, and lots of shorts; and then  trolled near shore and got two gag's 28 and 33.5" on artificial deep diving plugs along with two nice spanish mackerel. The reds came on live bait. Cheers Mike

Gene and his lovely daughter Angela Darby from Germantown, Md put a significant dent in the Grouper population.  They went fishing with Charter captain Mike on the Pro-Fish-In-Sea

The catch:

1 snapper
4 sharks
1 black grouper
21 keeper red grouper
1-bonito
5 mackerel
plus lots of assorted little stuff too small to keep

Sept Fish Fry

The Boss organized a great party. Plenty of food, fun and drink by all.

Thanks Pete,

Ray Rosenberg & Linda Spell

Not the biggest fish I've  ever caught, but at least it shows that I do fish and actually catch something.

Dave
Photos taken on Sat. Sept 11th. We had a good day drift fishing for Grouper 43 miles west of Marco.
My crew were.....Frank Sroka...Fred Kouhi...Chris Edgar and his wife Kay Lee....
We actually boated 9 keepers, but two were 20" on the nose so we did not keep them. That is why there are only 7 fish in the picture. The prize was a 30" red grouper held Chris.

Bert
Long Island snappers may be small but my 3 year old grandson Jack had a great time.  We caught 20 and kept the legal limit of 10.  When cooked up they are quite tasty.

Take care.

Joe

Everyone had lots to eat and a wonderful time. Hope Ed C. can put these
photos up on the website.

Ed and JoeAnn do it again!
Who said we can't catch large Red Fish on Marco?  Nick and I started out by the rocks near the beach with our Sabiki rigs to catch threadfin herring for bait. After we loaded up we went into the mangroves and I nailed this Redfish. We also caught a large cat and we both had line cuts from shark or some other critter with sharp teeth.

9 July 2010
The morning was turning into a blistering hot day until I hung into this 22" Red Fish off of Camp Lulu Key.  That was a great wake up call.  Kathleen Chalker

First day of Permit Fish of the Month , Mike Mueller was first on the board by 8:45 with a 27" but I knocked him off 20 minutes later with a 31 1/2"
Just want to share this photo of my 48 inch tarpon caught this morning. I have also reported the catch to the club via the website.

Thanks, Joe Chalker.

You probably know about the annual "Shark bites Man" contest and the "Man bites Shark Picnic" that follows.  Al Musico, who runs this event, has been practicing up for this year's contest.  That's Al in the Yellow Wetsuit, the only one that doesn't look like a shark!
Bryan and I just went out for a little while today ... around 9 to 10 miles in Gulf.  We got some snappers plus this nice red Grouper! (We used very small amount of squid with a sabiki rig, so we used cut bait.

Pat Assaf with 26.5 inches of dinner for six.

This permit had one crab too many......and earned a trip home with John Cavanagh...
Need you to see this. Friends of ours, Danny Baugh (our newly adopted Son) from Ohio and George Buchanan and John Mahaney from Virginia, caught this Saw Fish whilst here tarpon fishing Marco River. Estimated between 15 to 16 feet. Am thinking this is a rare treat and worthy of the photo album even though they are not MSFC members. We were impressed. Your comments please.

This is a picture of the triple tail that Rose caught this morning south of Goodland. It weighted 6 lbs. and gave her quite a fight on light tackle. The fish was revived and released after posing for the picture.
